My work as a ceramist moves on the boundary between craft and art. I create functional objects – vases, bowls, teacups – that develop into pieces with their own expressive presence. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics and minimalism, I translate these traditions into a contemporary visual language where simplicity and stillness coexist with strength and refinement.
Hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel, the objects bear visible traces of their making: subtle variations in line, texture, and rhythm make each piece unique. The stoneware clay is fired at high temperatures in an electric kiln, and my glazes, sometimes enriched with wood ash or river clay, range from glossy to matte, from smooth to textured – an invitation to touch.
My ceramics make silence and mindfulness tangible; they offer a moment of calm and allow the beauty of life’s small details to be felt.
